MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library has received a grant from the Libri Foundation for children’s books. The Libri Foundation, based in Eugene, Ore., is a nationwide nonprofit organization which donates new, quality, hardcover books to small rural public libraries in the United States through its Books for Children program.

Since the foundation was established in 1989, it has donated more than $2,300,000 in new children’s books to more than 2,000 libraries in 48 states.

With this grant, Mexico Public Library received a total of 56 books from the foundation. The donation has enhanced the children’s section, offering many selections for use in the story hour programs and summer reading programs.

Also, the books are available for children and their families to check out. The following titles were received:
