SOUTH HIRAM – Abby Gilbert poured in a game-high 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and also had three steals and assists to lead St. Dom’s to a 42-32 victory over Sacopee Valley in a girls’ basketball matchup on Thursday.

Katie Lyon chipped in with eight points and led the Saints (10-3) in rebounds with nine.

Britini Murch scored a team-high 12 and Katie Crommett added eight for Sacopee (5-7).

Kents Hills 48, Richmond 26

RICHMOND – Jackie Gershman-Manocchi dropped in a game-high 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Kents Hills to a 48-26 victory over Richmond on Thursday.

Aleigh Mills added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kents Hill (8-2). Kents Hill pulled away in the second half with improved defense, outscoring Richmond 26-9.

Katie Cray led Richmond (1-10) with six points.

Hebron 44, Elan 14

HEBRON – Sara Powers downed 17 points to lead Hebron to a 44-14 rout over the Elan School in boys’ hoops action Thursday.

Amy Shackford chipped in for Hebron (2-8) with eight points, while Michelle Monaco added six.

Elan was paced by Maritza Camacho with seven points, half of the team’s point total. Hebron held a commanding 20-7 advantage at the half and was never seriously challenged.

Carrabec 34, Monmouth 30

NORTH ANSON – Amy Campbell netted nine points and pulled down nine rebounds Thursday night as Carrabec defeated Monmouth 34-30 in a make-up game postponed on Jan. 21.

Kristina Earle chipped in for the Cobras (3-10) with nine points, while Erica French added seven.

The Mustangs (4-9) were paced by Jenn Lola and Sam Fairchild with eight points apiece. Carrabec was ahead 24-9 after the first half, and nearly lost control of the game in the late going.

Dirigo 48, Madison 36

MADISON – Michelle Holmquist tossed in a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to propel Dirigo to a 48-36 win over Madison in girls’ basketball.

Nikki Kaulback chipped in for the Cougars (11-2) with 13 points, while Holly Knight added six.

Lacey Ashbrook led the way for Madison (8-6) with an eight-point effort. Dirigo held a slim four-point lead at the break and pulled steadily away in the final frame.

Georges Valley 43, Lisbon 25

LISBON – Ashley Geel poured in a game-high 21 points to carry Georges Valley to a 43-25 win against Lisbon in an MVC girls’ basketball matchup.

Georges Valley scored 20 of its 43 points in the third quarter.

Heather Perry scored five for Lisbon. The Greyhounds had 24 steals and were a dismal 8-of-67 from the field.

Oxford Hills 69, Morse 59

SOUTH PARIS – Terri Bunts made 15 shots from the charity stripe and finished with a team-high 22 points to help Oxford Hills to a 69-59 victory over Morse.

Kelsey Pelletier chipped in with 17 points for the Vikings (12-2).

The Vikings dropped in 40 points in the second half. Jill Henrikson led all scorers with 29 points for Morse.

Livermore Falls 72, Wiscasset 49

WISCASSET – Marjorie DeBorsky and Taryn Flagg lit up the boards for 22 points apiece Thursday night to lead Livermore Falls to a 72-49 romp over Wiscasset in an MVC girls’ basketball matchup.

Klarizza Cruz led Wiscasset (1-12) with a 12-point performance, while Megan Foye added 11. The Andies held a commanding 35-24 advantage at the half and were never seriously challenged.
