The “Dial-A-Human” article on Jan. 22 was very helpful. Often my fianc needs to take over on the phone as I reach my boiling point dealing with a voice-mail system that neither answers my calling need nor allows me to reach a human voice. Sometimes pressing “0” only leads one back to the main menu. I hope the calls are recorded so they can hear my pleas for more accommodating assistance.

I send a silent thank-you to all the companies that still manage to allow for person-to-person assistance.
