NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A judge says tape-recorded statements can’t be used as evidence against a man facing numerous rape charges.
Judge William Groff ruled that police erred by not reading Jeremy Jennings his rights before interviewing him last year. They also did not advise him of his right to consult a lawyer before speaking.
The judge’s ruling applies to a portion of the numerous sexual assault charges against Jennings.
There are currently four cases pending against Jennings in Hillsborough County Superior Court, involving four different girls.
