This is in response to the Chris Bisson letter (Jan. 21) that attacked Gov. John Baldacci’s policies.
Consider that in three years, the governor brought this state from $1.2 billion in the red to $100 million in the black. Being a small businessman, I say that’s very good.
What it also means is that instead of playing catch-up, now he can concentrate on other projects for the advancement of the state.
I’m not aware that Baldacci lied to us the way former Gov. McKernan did in his State of the State address.
And I believe Harry Belafonte more about President George Bush than I believe what Bush has said about the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. Chavez must be a great leader who loves his country and people. That’s why Bush hates him.
I contend that Bush is the worst president the U.S. has ever had, in all categories.
