Pottle Hill Inc. relies on volunteers to augment staff time. Activities can include reading, teaching crafts or accompany people on outings. Pottle Hill also holds a road race each year where volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks.

Pottle Hill is a progressive nonprofit organization that provides services to people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. Two programs are offered: Pottle Works, a work and work training program for people from high school graduation age to retirement, and the W.T. Twarog Senior Enrichment Center, a day program for people of retirement age. An outreach program is also offered for people who cannot attend the day program.
