RICHMOND – M. Geraldine “Gerry” Waltz, 86, of Pleasant Street passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Richmond Elder Care with her beloved husband by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 2, 1919, the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (McDonald) Lizotte and attended local Lewiston schools.

She worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Togus, for many years as an administrative assistant.

She enjoyed camping with family, knitting and being with her grandchildren. Gerry was also a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Richmond.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Donald Waltz of Richmond; son, Donald Jr. and wife, Michelle, of Berwick; grandsons, Scott Huff of Rochester, N.H., Michael Waltz of Richmond, Jonathan Waltz of Berwick; granddaughter, Donna Waltz of Berwick; twin sister, Madeleine Lizotte of Richmond; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Madeleine Ann Huff; brother, Harry Lizotte Jr.; and a nephew, Richard Lizotte.
