QUAKER HILL, Conn. – Phillip Howard Dunn, 76, of 8 College Court, passed away Jan. 28, at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Oxford, the son of the late Phillip and Grace (Davis) Dunn. He was married to the late Winona Haskell Dunn, who predeceased him.

He married his wife, Marie Chambers, Jan. 26, 2005. She survives him.

In 1956, he moved to Connecticut and began work at Pfizer, where he retired after 26 years. In 1956, he started Dunn’s Tree Care service as a side business, until it became his full-time business in 1980.

He was a very hard-working man who loved the tree care business. He was an avid New York Knicks fan and New England Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Dunn; his two daughters, Candice Snow and Sandra Smith; his brother, Bernard Dunn; his stepchildren, Fred Chambers, III, Dan Chambers, Dawn Otero and Jean Chambers; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren.

In addition to his first wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Howard Dunn.
