BRIDGTON – The Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing will host three informational programs for individuals interested in learning about a career in nursing.

The programs will offer an introduction to the CMMC School of Nursing’s two-year associate degree registered nurse program, which is offered via video conferencing to classrooms at University College in Mexico and at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

The application process, admission requirements, curriculum requirements and other topics will be discussed at both events.

Rumford Hospital, Rumford Community Home, Franklin Memorial Hospital and Sandy River Health Care Facility all serve as clinical experience sites for the CMMC School of Nursing.

The first program will be held at Franklin Memorial Hospital from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6. The CMMC School of Nursing will host an informational kiosk at the hospital’s open house. Sharon Kuhrt, director of the CMMC School of Nursing, will offer a videoconferencing demonstration.

A second program will be offered at Bridgton Hospital cafeteria conference room beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6.

The third program is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in Room A at University College, 13 Brown St., Mexico.
