LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine is beginning registration for spring swim lessons on Monday, Feb. 6, for current YWCA members and Monday, Feb. 13, for all others.

Swim lessons are offered Monday through Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings. The YWCA offers classes for 6 months old to adult. Classes may be a half hour or an hour long, depending on level.

Classes will begin on Saturday, Feb. 25, and will run seven weeks at a cost of $60. Participants must be members of the YWCA, and membership is good for a year. YWCA membership fees are: child up to 12, $30; youth, 13 to 17, $40; adult 18 to 59, $55; senior citizen, 60 and older, $45.

Private swim lessons are available by appointment. The cost is $25 a half-hour session. Participants must be members of the YWCA. To book a private lesson, call the YWCA.

Adult swim lessons will be offered Fridays from 9 to 9:30 a.m. for six weeks. The cost is $75, and participants must be members of the YWCA.
