Special ceremony

RUMFORD – Rumford American Legion 24 and Auxiliary will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Post Home, Congress Street, for a special ceremony to honor the “Four Brave Chaplains” who lost their lives when the U.S.S. Dorchester sank off Greenland on Feb. 3, 1943. Lunch will be served at 5 p.m. with meetings to follow at 6. All members and guests are invited to attend the special ceremony.

Peru club to meet

PERU – The Peru Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the fire station.

RUMFORD – Men and women from the class of 1952 of Stephens High School will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at King Wok, Congress Street, for the monthly luncheon. Call Barbara at 364-3470 so reservations may be made.

MEXICO – Members of Mexico High School Class of 1959 are invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Island Caf, Congress Street.

MEXICO – The Mexico Fire Department will hold its annual supper and meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, downstairs in the fire department.

MEXICO – The River Valley Riders ATV Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Mexico Chicken Coop.

Make a card

RUMFORD – Those wishing can make their own Valentine card from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Scrappers Domaine. Jennifer LeDuc from Stamping Up and Scrappers Domaine will be present. Cost will be $15 to make eight to 10 items. Sign-up sheets are at Roberts Chiropractic, All That Jazz and the Rumford Falls Times.
