Tasting party

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard North Snowmobile Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Smith Hall. There will be a tasting party after the meeting and those attending are asked to bring a goodie to share.

Forum speaker

WILTON – Janet Smith of Mainely Scuba will be the speaker for the Wilton Community Forum Breakfast from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the First Congregational Church, 386 Main St.

The breakfasts feature speakers on topics pertaining to economic, cultural and health matters, and are open to the public.A hot buffet breakfast will be served. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Community lunch

FARMINGTON – Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. The menu will include beef stew over noodles, rolls and butter and chocolate cake.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon if a meal needs to be delivered.

Scholarships

FARMINGTON – The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee is again offering the West Central Maine Health Careers Scholarship Program. The scholarships will be presented to students in need of financial assistance who reside in the Franklin Memorial Hospital service area (greater Franklin County, including Livermore Falls and Livermore) and are pursuing careers in the health care field.

To be eligible, the applications must be returned by April 15.

Applicants must also have been accepted to a school of choice by that date. The auxiliary will select six $500 scholarships in May, which will be awarded following the successful completion of the first semester.
