BOSTON – The annual New England Spring Flower Show will be held March 11 to 19 in the Bayside Expo Center.

This year’s theme is “Welcome Home! Celebrating Our Great New England Landscape.” The show marks The Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s 135th consecutive New England Spring Flower Show.

The nonprofit event, which attracts more than 80,000 gardening enthusiasts, will consist of more than five acres of exhibit space.

Attractions will include:

• More than 38 gardens designed by local, national and international landscape professionals, and amateur competitions that which highlight the creations of area garden clubs and junior horticulturalists.

• More than 250 garden-related vendors in the Garden Marketplace.

• A “Virtual Show House” combining interior vignettes with garden settings.

• Gardening, floral and landscaping experts on hand to meet and discuss current trends and inside tips.

• Lectures and demonstrations on floral arrangements, gardening and landscaping.

• The annual preview party on Friday, March 10.

• Daily and nightly themed events throughout the week, such as: March Madness – Gardening for Guys, Garden to Gourmet and Girls’ Night Out

Proceeds from the flower show support the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s educational programming.

Tickets are on sale now. They may be purchased online at www.masshort.org or at select Borders and garden centers. Group tickets can be reserved by calling the horticultural society at (617) 933-4983. Adult tickets are $20; military and senior tickets (65 years and older), $17; student tickets, $12; and children’s tickets (4 to 12 years), $10.
