FARMINGTON – Announcement is made of the engagement of Karen L. Foster of Farmington, formerly of Wall, N.J., to Nathaniel G. Beal of Farmington.

The future bride is the daughter of Leslie J. Devers of Brick, N.J., and Edward J. Foster of Manasquan, N.J. She is a 1992 graduate of St. Rose High School in Belmar, N.J., and is a full-time student at the University of Maine at Farmington. She is an LPN at Strong Nursing Home in Strong.

The future bridegroom is the son of Randall and Annamaria Beal of Avon. He is a 1999 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and is a mental health worker at Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta.

A July wedding is planned in Farmington.
