This past November, our fifth and eighth graders paired up in groups, and traveled by bus to many houses in our community. We raked leaves, picked up tree branches, picked up trash, etc. We did this, for people who needed our help.

Every year, Monmouth Middle School has the fifth through eighth grades divide up into their homerooms. The students were sent to specific houses with some of the teachers as chaperones. The kids enjoyed doing this, knowing we were helping other people in need. We had worked really hard and we also had lots of fun.

There were some houses that had a lot to do and some not much at all. It was a great day had by all, not only did we do a good deed by helping those in need, but it was a day off from school too.
