SARASOTA, Fla. – Marie Blanche Pricill Lizotte, 84, was called to be with her Lord on Jan. 24, after a strong struggle with illness at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1921, in St. Agatha. She was the daughter of Olivier Lavigne and Clarisse Roy. She married Alex Lizotte in 1944, and worked at the Bates Mill and Marcotte Home while living in Lewiston. They moved to Sarasota in 1977.

Mrs. Lizotte was loved by everyone and was known as “Memere” to the children, and “Ma” to everyone else. She will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by daughters, Doris Godwin and Pauline Blouin, son, Bob and wife, Ethel Lizotte, all of Sarasota; sons, Phil and wife, Sharon, of Lisbon and Hermon Lizotte of Sabattus; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander; son, Paul; and sons-in-law, Dale Godwin and Paul Blouin.
