LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay senior citizens met at Murray Hall on Jan. 30 with 25 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces.

Mary Groleau led the group as they sang “Amazing Grace.” Dora Slovak was welcomed back after a lengthy illness.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to those having birthdays in January, including Edith Leblanc, Geraldine Richards, Pauline Duguay, Annette Richards, Emile Richards, Christine Harlow, Edmee Frechette and Mary Groleau. Groleau was celebrating her 93rd birthday.

SeniorsPlus will provide a meal along with entertainment on Valentine’s Day, and anyone interested can phone 645-3315 for reservations. SeniorsPlus also has several meetings scheduled for February regarding topics of interest. Members are reminded to check their monthly brochure for more information.

The 50/50 was won by Aurenlien Couture. The meeting was adjourned and the group held its monthly beano.
