On November 18, St. Peter & Sacred Heart School eighth grade took a trip to St. Dominic’s Regional High School for Shadow Day. While the eighth grade was there they took a tour of the school, seeing the fields, cafeteria, gymnasium and the art studio.
The class was split up into two groups. The girls went with Emily Fontain and Jen Uwaechia ,previous graduates from St. Peters. The boys went with Nick Stalford and Justin Ouellette. Nick was also a previous graduate of St. Peter & Sacred Heart. The eighth grade observed many classes and even ate lunch with the freshmen and sophomores.
After we had seen all the classes and had finished lunch, we went to the gymnasium to shoot baskets. After the whole eighth grade was in the gym we played Knockout. The winner of Knockout got a St. Dom’s sweatshirt. The winner was Kerry Queen. This day went by extremely fast and I think everyone had a lot of fun. This experience taught us a little about what high school was like. I think the whole eighth grade is looking forward to going there next year. I know I am.
