Exhibit opening

TURNER – An open house will be held at the ArtMess studio-gallery from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, introducing new work by Jonathan Mess.

A new body of work has emerged from Mess over the past six months. The walls are full of new mixed media sculptural paintings with titles such as “Farm Saints,” “Communication” and “One Thing Leads to Another.” There will be hors d’oeuvres and live music performance. The studio is at 22 School House Hill Road in back of the Hearth and Crickett Mill.

Chapter Martel

LEWISTON – Chapter Martel, Association Canado-Americaine, will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Frye School Retirement Home Hall, 240 Ash St., rear entrance.

An optional meal will be offered to regular participating. members prior to the meeting at 11:45 a.m. at the Mandarin Restaurant, 750 Sabattus St.

The meeting agenda will include nomination of officers for the 2006-2007 year. All members are asked to attend.

Lodge supper

AUBURN – Ancient Brothers Lodge 178, AF and AM, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

The meeting will be preceded by a supper at 6:30 p.m. All Masons are welcome.

Registrations

READFIELD – Readfield Elementary School kindergarten registrations have been scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays, March 20 and 27. The registration is for parents planning to enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2006-2007 school year.

To be eligible to start school, a child has to be 5 on or before Oct. 15. Parents will need to bring the child to be registered, his/her birth certificate and immunization records. Call Sherry Williams at the school office for an appointment at 685-4406, ext. 0.

Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Feb. 6 were: N/S, first, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Les Buzzell and Tom Boyer; third, Janice Wolfe and Cynthia Bonsey; first in B, Claire Tewhey and Charlie Bartlett.

E/W, first, Betty and Doug Sise; second, Alberta Turner and Helen Little; third/fourth tie, Cynthia and Bill Clifford with Marlene and Conrad Violette.
