NORWAY – The Norway Memorial Library will host a nature journal program at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. It will be an opportunity to share writing and drawings or to learn about others’ nature journals.
There will be books in the form of nature journals on display as well as several people who will share their journals. A variety of journals will be represented, from the detailed and scientific to the more artistic. There will be a diary from the 1840s, and a journal kept over a period of 43 years.
To register or for more information, call the Norway Library at 743-5309.
The program is in association with the upcoming One Book One Community event, which will kick off at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in the Forum at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
This year’s book is “Suburban Safari” by South Portland author Hannah Holmes. Holmes observed, recorded and investigated all aspects of nature in her own backyard over the span of a year.
