LAS VEGAS – Louise L. Boyce, 90, passed away peacefully Jan. 31, at the home she shared with her daughter, Beverly Rogers-Derr, after a short illness.

She was born in Monmouth, Aug. 29, 1915, the youngest daughter of William and Lillian Judd Elwell. She was educated in Lewiston and Monmouth schools and on Aug. 27, 1932, married Earl Boyce of Wales. He died Sept. 11, 1980.

She was a homemaker all her life. During the 1960s and 1970s, she operated an antique business, doing mail-order and antique shows. She retired in 1980 and moved to Florida. In 2000, she moved to Las Vegas.

She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Harradon and husband, Merlton, of Wales and Beverly Rogers-Derr of Las Vegas; son, Stephen and wife, Ann, of Merritt Island, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Haines of Wayne, Tim Harradon of Wales, Susan Rogers of Las Vegas, Jennifer Sage, Jonathan Sage and Kellie Frizzell of Eustis, Fla. and Heather and Kevin Boyce of Merritt Island, Fla.; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Sharon Sage in 2001; two sisters, Hazel Dumais and Blanche Danforth; and three brothers, Fred, Earl “Kip” and Kenneth Elwell.
