MONMOUTH – The Monmouth Community Players will present the musical “Into the Woods” March 17-26.
This popular musical is an amalgam of several familiar fairy tales, including “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Little Red Ridinghood,” “Cinderella” and “Rapunzel.” James Lapine’s witty script and Stephen Sondheim’s music examine the relationships between the characters, and what happens after the “happily ever after.”
The show will be staged at 8 p.m. March 17, 18, 24 and 25 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19 and 26, in Cumston Hall.
“Into the Woods” is directed by Michael T. French, assistant director is David Handley and producer is Tori Lee Jackson. The show will feature a 14-piece orchestra under the direction of Mike Shaw.
People can reserve tickets by calling 582-5717 or by e-mailing [email protected].
