DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – The first NASCAR event of the season will have to wait a day.

The Budweiser Shootout, an action-packed sprint that gives 21 drivers a chance to show their stuff at Daytona International Speedway, was postponed because of rain Saturday night. It was rescheduled for today at 4:42 p.m. EST Daytona 500 qualifying will remain on schedule for 12:08 p.m. today.
