JAY – Steve and Donna Hamilton of Jay are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Meghan, of Jay, to John Paul Hanrahan of Fairfield, Conn., son of John and Sara Hanrahan of Fairfield, Conn.

Miss Hamilton received her master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Connecticut in 2002. She is currently employed by their School of Business as program manager.

Mr. Hanrahan received his master’s degree in education from the University of Connecticut. He is currently a third-grade teacher in Bristol, Conn.

The wedding will take place on Aug. 18 at St. Martha’s Church, with a reception to follow at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport.
