FALMOUTH – Eric Alexander Albiston, 22, beloved son of Bruce and Annemarie (Hemond) Albiston, died at his home on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Born in Lewiston on April 27, 1983, Eric was a graduate of Westbrook High School, Class of 2001, where he was active in athletics as a member of the soccer, swimming, and both the indoor and outdoor track teams.

He attended Roger Williams University in Rhode Island before enlisting in the U.S. Navy.

Upon discharge, Eric was employed at Maine Oxy, Inc. in Auburn.

In addition to his interest in sports, he was an avid skier, and enjoyed fishing, boating and reading. He loved animals and was particularly attached to “George” and “Mogul,” the family’s pet labrador retrievers.

Eric is survived by his parents and an older brother, Joseph, with whom he was close; paternal grandmother, Doris Albiston of Richmond, Va.; maternal grandparents, Andre and Anne (Foley) Hemond of Scarborough; aunts and uncles, Charles and Sharon Albiston of Auburn; Wendy and Stephen Lindberg of Richmond, Va.; Al and Sue Hemond of Cumberland Center; and Craig and Cyn Hemond of Portland; and several cousins.
