DURHAM – An Auburn mother and her young son were transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a single-car crash on Swamp Road late Monday afternoon.
Sgt. Jim Jacques of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department said Robin L. Jensen, 23, of Auburn was driving on Swamp Road toward Route 9 when her car skidded on ice, went off the right shoulder and struck a utility pole. Jensen and her 1-year-old son appeared to have suffered only bumps and bruises, he said. Durham Rescue took them to the hospital.
Jensen’s 2005 Honda Accord was demolished in the 5:25 p.m. mishap.
