GREENE – They’re in the mail. Closing in on March, the town has announced that copies of the annual report are being sent to taxpayers’ homes.
Voters will be able to review the 56 articles in the warrant, including a barking dog ordinance that has stirred debate. A copy of the ordinance can be obtained at the town office.
A selectman for a three-year term is to be elected. Selectman Kevin Mower and longtime resident Sheldon Bubier are on the ballot.
Sisters Barbara and Deborah Dupuis will also be on the ballot as they compete for the three-year term of SAD 52 director. Absentee ballots are available at the Greene Municipal Office.
Candidates Night being held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. It will be a televised on the local broadcast network and residents are encouraged to call in with questions and comments.
The town meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at Greene Central School.
