LEWISTON – Ruth Muriel White, 85, of Lewiston went to her heavenly home on Sunday, Feb. 12.

She was born in Sabattus, Feb. 24, 1920, the daughter of George and Mildred Burgess Dutille. She completed her high school education in local schools and was married to Ernest G. White in 1950. Together they raised their four children. Ernest died Sept. 2, 2004.

She was member of the First Assembly of God Church. She dedicated her life caring for George Gagnon Jr. a very special son. She raised her family with a divine love that will never be forgotten. She enjoyed cooking and attending church events and in her younger years, singing at various church services.

Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Jenney and her husband, Robert, of Florida; sons, George A. Gagnon Jr. of Lewiston, Larry White Sr. and wife, Janice, of Jay and Dale White and wife, Michelle, of Lewiston; grandchildren, Sherri Norton of Greene, Holly Libby and Raymond Morin Jr. both of Florida, Becky Mills of Jay, Larry White Jr. of Presque Isle and Nathan White of Lewiston; her many great-grandchildren whom she truly cherished and loved; a brother, Harold Dutille of Bangor; a sister, Marion Yerardi of Florida; also nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; four sisters, Doris Lapierre, Cathleen Cosgrove, Violet Longtin and Pearl Knight; and a brother, George Dutille.
