FARMINGTON – Franklin Memorial Hospital’s medical library will offer the public free workshops on finding health-related information. The workshop scheduled for February will focus on mental health.

The first workshop will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Chisholm Room. The workshop, “Sorting Through the Deluge of Mental Health Information Available on the Internet and in the Written Word,” will be presented by Emily Scribner, hospital medical librarian, and Kathleen Danforth, crisis counselor. Light refreshments will be provided.

Anyone who would like to attend is asked to call 779-2554 or e-mail librarian@fchn.org.

Funding from the Regional Office of the National Library of Medicine has enabled the hospital to offer the workshops.

The library is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A comprehensive collection of health and medical resources, including books, journals, pamphlets, videotapes and online references, is available.
