PORT AU PRINCE, Trinidad – Bryan Lewis Hardy, 68, of Oswego, Ill., died Feb. 10 in Trinidad, where he was employed as a management consultant for Myerson Co.

Born April 15, 1937, in Wilton, he was a son of the late Arthur G. and Ernistine May Hardy. After graduating from Lisbon High School, he served in the U.S. Army as a cryptologist. He graduated from the University of Maine in 1962 with a degree in physics.

He worked for General Electric Co. for more than 20 years. For the past eight years, he lived and worked in Thailand for Compass East Industries as a CEO. Recently, he moved back to the United States to be closer to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laddawan “Daeng,” and two children, Sean and Lynn, residing at home; his wife from a previous marriage, Carole Tardiff Sligh, and children, Kyle (Elaine) Hardy of Monroe, N.Y., Kelly Hardy Winkelbauer of Coplay, Pa., Bryan (Sarah) Hardy of Terre Haute, Ind., Dr. Peter (Meng) Hardy of Farmington and Christopher (Shelli) Hardy of Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his sister, Patricia Small Ouellette of Topsham; and his brother, Spencer of Deltona, Fla.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Ernest Hardy; sister, Maxine Hardy Micheaux; nephew, Steven Small; and a grandnephew and a grandniece.
