FARMINGTON – Titcomb Mountain is ready for February vacation starting Saturday, Feb. 18. A number of children’s activities have been planned.

The mountain will be open special hours for the week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. On both weekends, the hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A two-hour group lesson for skiers and riders, Camp Day, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. Along with the lesson, a snack and lunch will be included.

The skier groups will be for ages 6 to 14; snowboard groups, ages 8 to 14. Applications will be available at the lodge and on the Web site under programs. Preregistration is due by Saturday, Feb. 18. The club member rate is $15, excluding rentals. The nonmember rate for lift ticket, lesson and lunch is $25, or $35 with equipment rentals.

Other events, free to participants, include: Monday at noon, Lucky T-Bar, and at 1:30 p.m., dual fun race; Tuesday, Camp Day; Wednesday, face painting, 11 a.m to 1 p.m.; Thursday, snowboard dual challenge, 1 p.m.; Friday, radar race at 1 p.m., bonfire at 6 p.m. and torchlight parade at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Little Mountain Demo Days from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Dartmouth Race at 1 p.m.

Starting on Feb. 18, the mountain will offer a new multi-day ticket for full-day and half-day alpine lift tickets that will be valid through the end of the season.

Maine Student Night for any Maine students from kindergarten through college will be offered. On Fridays, students may ski or ride from 6 to 9 p.m. for $9.
