NORWAY – Winnie T. Hoyle, 91, of Norway, passed away with family by her side at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

She was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Mechanic Falls to Addie and Frank Thompson. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1932, and married Aubrey Hoyle on June 15, 1936.

She retired from C. B. Cummings after 25 years.

She was a former Pythian Sister and a member of the First Universalist Church, where she sang in the choir, and belonged to the Ladies Guild. She volunteered at the library and Stephens Memorial Hospital and enjoyed square dancing with her husband and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Starbird and Gerry Gatchell; a niece and nephew; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; a daughter, Patricia; a sister, Ruth Truman; and her favorite son-in-law, Bill Starbird.
