BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Dustin Penner scored first and last and Pierre Parenteau had two goals in between as the Portland Pirates beat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-2 on Saturday night.
Simon Ferguson added a goal as Portland earned its fifth consecutive victory.
Dieter Kochan made 27 saves for Portland.
The Sound Tigers got goals from Bruno Gervais and Sean Bergenheim.
The Pirates return home to host the Hartford WolfPack today at 4:05 p.m. at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
