BRISTOL, N.H. (AP) – Police who raided an underage drinking party at an apartment had to call in reinforcements after several partygoers decided to fight them.
State troopers and police officers from Holderness, Ashland and New Hampton helped Bristol police – including off-duty officers called in as backup – subdue and arrest the drinkers Friday night.
Twelve people were arrested on charges that included lying to police, resisting arrest, underage drinking, marijuana possession and disorderly conduct. Seven other people were taken into protective custody. Twelve of the 19 people at the party were juveniles.
Gary MacDonald, 18, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of facilitating an underage drinking party. He also was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol.
