Seniors invitation

Book swap

BRIDGTON – A Book Swap, Book Review and Dessert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the Bridgton Community Center. Residents are invited to bring books to share and swap and dessert and beverage will be provided. For more information, contact Lorraine at 647-3116. The swap is a program of the center.

Computer tutor

PARIS – The Paris Public Library is offering 1-on-1 computer tutoring sessions for individuals of any skill level.

Class topics for beginners range from general computer basics to introductory use of Microsoft Word for word processing, Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet creation, Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, Internet searching and e-mail.

Individuals with some computer experience may request assistance with specific applications or topics. Each individual session will last an hour and may be repeated on a weekly basis. Stop by the library or call 743-6994 for more information or to set up an appointment for a tutorial session.

Bridge play

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Bridge Club met Feb. 17 at the Fare Share Common, Main Street, when a two-and-a-half table Howell movement was played. A table from Nancy Farmer’s bridge class attended.

Finishing first in Flight A were Barbara Beegel and Les Buzzell; second, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; Flight B, first, Bev Dolan and Bev Pelletier, in a tie with Mimi Bell and Carol Curran.
