Citizens of Auburn like to talk about taxes. Well, they should do something besides talk. There have been chances. Voters should get rid of councilors who don’t represent their wishes. They need to sign the recall petitions and replace those who voted for the parking garage, to be built with the public’s tax dollars. The parking garage is not going to help the city; it is for private enterprise.

With many owners finding their property taxes jumping to almost double, I say no to the mayor and the councilors on the parking garage.

But citizens of Auburn need to make their voices be heard. They need to stand up and be counted. Let us take back our city and govern it, for the people, by the people, as it used to be.

Auburn doesn’t need to compete with Lewiston.

Citizens need to get their names on petitions, not just take it sitting down.
