NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lynda Helton, 52, of West Valley Drive, Russellville, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 19.

She was born in Rumford on Jan. 16, 1954, to the late Wilfred Hamel and Grace Blanchard Hamel. She was a production analyst and a safety team leader with Logan Aluminum.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Hamel of Rumford; her husband, Ray Helton of Russellville, Ky.; one daughter, Kelly Boca of Franklin, Ky.; four brothers, Wilfred Hamel Jr. of Roxbury, Richard Hamel of Mexico, Robert Hamel of Marble, Pa., and Dennis Hamel of Bridgton; three sisters, Iona Medina of Lakewood, Colo., Connie Newman of Dixfield, and Claudette Hladik of Mooresville, N.C.
