FALMOUTH – Colette T. Poulin, 82, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in St. Ludger, Quebec, on Feb. 28, 1923, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Delima (Baillargeon) Bellegarde. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Dominic’s Regional High School in 1940. A year later, she married Dominic J. Poulin on Nov. 29, 1941. She and her late husband owned and operated a newspaper distribution in Hartford, Conn. They returned to Maine and purchased Maine Motel and Cabins. They later owned and operated C&D Shopping Center in Westbrook. She retired from Fleet Bank in 1988.

She was a member of the Holy Family Parish, the Ladies of St. Anne’s, the Knights of Columbus auxiliary, La Survivance Francaise, Horizon 55 and the Corenant 50. She enjoyed being by the seashore, playing cards and dancing.

She is survived by her significant companion of 11 years, Ernie Bergeron of Lewiston; her two sons, Donald A. Poulin of Waterville and Kenneth D. Poulin and wife, Faith, of Portland; her six grandchildren, Jeffrey Poulin, Glenn Poulin, Dean Poulin, Dale Poulin, April Poulin and Charity Dimillo; her six great-grandchildren, Dominic Dimillo, Isabelle Dimillo, Sophia Dimillo, Adam Poulin, Amanda Poulin and Austin Poulin; her two sisters, Yvonne Thibodeau of Connecticut and Raymonde Garrity of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Paulette Castonguay; a brother, Joseph C. Bellegarde; and her husband, Dominic on Sept. 24, 1987.
