LEWISTON – Gaston E. Demers, 66, of Auburn, died Thursday morning, Feb. 23, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a long time of poor health.

He was born in Minot, on Sept. 1, 1939, the son of Alphonse and Alvinese (LaFlamme) Demers. He attended Lewiston schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked in the Lewiston mills all of his life.

He loved watching country videos on TV and loved spending time with his lovable dog of 11 years, Bennie. It was known by those who knew him that he loved his grandchildren and was loved dearly by all of them.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Gloria (Thayer) Demers; son, Danny Demers; daughter, Judy Demers; stepchildren, John Noyes and Wonda Lever; along with his grandchildren

He was predeceased by his parents; and a son, Ronnie Demers.
