AUBURN – Veryl M. Howland, of 460 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Saturday, Feb. 25, at Clover Health Care.

Born on Aug. 5, 1914, in East Lowell, she was the daughter of Dean and E. Adellla Mallett.

She was educated in Bangor schools and was a graduate of Bangor High School.

In 1935, she married Leslie W. Howland, who died in 1991.

She lived for many years in Auburn, Lewiston and Waterville.

She is survived by one son, Vaughn; two grandchildren, Stephen and Susan; one sister, Elizabeth Dow; and several nieces and nephews.
