LEWISTON – An indoor soccer clinic to benefit the YWCA Children’s Day Care Program is slated for Sunday, March 5 at Lewiston High School gym.

Mike McGraw, Frank “Butch” Dow and several United Soccer Academy councilors and staff members will conduct the clinic for players ages 6-13 and any youth league coaches. Clinic fee is $5.

Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. Sunday. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Players are asked to bring sneakers or indoor soccer shoes, a water bottle and a well-marked soccer ball. Coach Dow will conduct a goal-keepers session. Soccer Plus has donated several Nike jerseys.

The clinic will cover skills and small sided play in a controlled environment for participants. Younger players will use a separate area when not participating in lecture demonstration segments of the clinic. Youth coaches will be supplied with some handouts, but it is recommended that coaches bring a notebook.

More information on the clinic can be obtained by contacting McGraw at mmcgraw@lewnet.avcnet.org.
