PARIS – Barbara Livingston has been named coordinator of Central Maine Community College’s operations at the Western Maine University and Community College Center.

Livingston is committed to helping people gain access to higher education, CMCC President Scott Knapp said Tuesday in making the announcement.

“That, combined with her extensive background in marketing, makes her the ideal person to lead our efforts at the Western Maine Center,” Knapp said.

Livingston graduated from CMCC and has worked for the Auburn-based college in marketing and publications for seven years. She has also worked for SeniorsPlus and the YWCA of Central Maine and served as director of Arts After School from 1992 to 1996.

Her community activities include service on the boards of directors of the Public Theatre and the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, of which she served as chairman.

Livingston will be responsible for developing and marketing college academic activities at the Paris center.

“I am really excited about this opportunity,” Livingston said.

Livingston may be reached at 743-9322, ext. 204, 888-677-3377 or 800-891-2002, ext. 264, or by e-mail at [email protected].
