FARMINGTON – During the cold winter months, people need to do everything they can to save on heat. Here at the Franklin County Animal Shelter, there is a special lap warmer.
Her name is Russia, and she would make a perfect addition to warm a lap by the fire. She came to the shelter as a stray with a litter of kittens. Most of her kittens have been adopted, but some have remained. She was the perfect mother, which is where her name, “Mother Russia,” came from.
She has been in contact with dogs many times and loves to play with them and give them baths. She also has been the perfect foster mom, doing the same to any kittens or young cats that come into her life.
New dogs at the shelter include a female King Charles spaniel from Livermore.
