RUMFORD – Gerald A. Billings, 55, of Milton Township, died Feb. 28, in Rumford.

He was born in Rumford on Dec. 5, 1950, the son of Gerald A. Billings Sr and Irene (Burgess) Billings. He was educated in Rumford schools and graduated from Rumford High School Class of 1969. He had worked as a farm worker all of his life. He was an avid outdoor person, loved animals and gardening and especially enjoyed visiting and helping his neighbors.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Billings of Milton Township; one brother, Reggie Billings and his wife, Valerie, of Bryant Pond; three sisters, Jennie Fillmore and her husband, Ludlow, of Bryant Pond, Joyce Pingree and her husband, Stanwood, of Rumford and Janice Bennett and her husband, Danny, of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.
