FREEPORT – Katherine A. Gaydos, 93, of Maple Street, Lisbon Falls, died Sunday, Feb. 26, at Freeport Nursing Home.
She was born in Lisbon on Dec. 31, 1912, a daughter of John and Annie (Katulak) Kacsmar. She married John Gaydos on Oct. 29, 1932, and together they raised their two sons.
She was a member of the former Holy Family Church, now Holy Trinity Church, and also was a legate of Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gardening and taking trips with her sister-in-law, Annie Pagurko.
She leaves two sons, John Gaydos and his wife, Marie, of South Portland and Gary Gaydos and his wife, Sue, of Harpswell; four grandchildren, Marie Paris and her husband, Michael, Christie Gaydos of Portland, Matthew Gaydos of Wales and Randall Gaydos of Portland; a great-grandson, Gavan Gaydos; a sister, Agnus Granger of Florida; and a brother, Frank Kacsmar of Lisbon Falls.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; a brother; and five sisters.
