RUMFORD – Registered nurse Jane Quint became director of nursing at Rumford Community Home last month. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine and has certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing.

Most recently, she was with Community Concepts, where she, with Edna Rose, administered an adult-day-services program they developed for people with physical and cognitive disabilities, mental illness and mental retardation. Earlier, she worked at Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center and Dixfield Health Care Center.

The mother of two grown sons, Quint lives in Dixfield with her partner and four cats in the house where she grew up. In her spare time, she enjoys painting Victorian ceramic Santa Clauses, reading and spending time with her family.
