EAST BALDWIN – Robert Luke Wagner, 28, local businessman and mortgage loan officer died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 15. He resided in Gray, with his wife, Natalia Lebedeva Wagner.

He was born in Orlando, Fla., on May 4, 1977, the youngest son of Robert Lee and Felicity Anne (Hyde Ferrell) Wagner. He attended high school in Stowe, Vt. He went on to attend the Artisans College for wooden boat building in Rockport and the University of Southern Maine in Portland where he majored in economics and business administration. He worked at various national parks over the years including Many Glacier in Montana, and Denali in Alaska, as well as in Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest.

He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, snowboarding, waterskiing, hiking, camping and sailing. He attended several Outward Bound programs both here in Maine and in the Sawtooth Mountain Range in the Sierra Nevada. He possessed a deep respect for life and nature.

He is survived by his wife Natalia; his mother, Felicity Anne Ferrell; his stepfather, William M. Ferrell Jr.; his brother, Rowan Robert Wagner; his sister, Louise Gabrielle Wagner; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Flaskett Hyde; half brothers Lee, Richard, and David Wagner; his cousins, Gavin and Ian McAleer and Nicholas Hyde and Emma Hyde Straite; his uncle and godfather, Stevens McAleer; and stepbrother, William M. Ferrell III.

He was predeceased by his maternal aunt, Coralie Hyde McAleer; his maternal grandfather, John Welford Hyde; and his father, Robert Lee Wagner.
