Caucus planned

CHESTERVILLE – John Gee has called the Chesterville Republican Caucus to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the Town Hall. There will be an opportunity for new voters to register and enroll to participate.

The caucus will elected a town committee, members to the Franklin County Committee and delegates and alternates to the Maine Republican State Convention to be held May 5 and 6 in Augusta. There will also be a meeting to organize and elect officers to the Town Committee. For more information, call John Gee at 778-6684.

Sunday worship

FARMINGTON – Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 5, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. It will be a hymn-sing Sunday and Communion will be served. All are welcome.

Starling meeting

FAYETTE – Craig Boone from Bunker and Savage architects will be at Starling Hall at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, to determine the best placement for a second entrance to the ground floor. Residents are invited to attend to discuss long-term goals for improvements to the building.

Talent show

FARMINGTON – The public is invited to attend the 4-H talent showcase to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 11, in the auditorium at Mt. Blue High School.

Four-H members, their families, leaders and staff from the Franklin County Extension Office will take part. There will be a variety of entertainment from song and dance to skits and puppet shows.

The program is free, but donations will be accepted and light refreshments will be available after the program.

Club supper

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard North Snowmobile Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Smith Hall. The club will have a potluck supper followed by the meeting.

Community lunch

FARMINGTON – Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11. The menu will include meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls and butter and ginger bread.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon if delivered is needed.

First aid course

SALEM – SAD 58 Adult and Community Education will host a basic first aid/CPR course for certification one day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Mt. Abram High School. Participants must register in advance.

Cost is $55 a student and space is limited to 12. The instructor will be Diane Wilson. Participants should bring snacks and lunch and wear comfortable clothing.
