LEWISTON – Norman J. Beauparlant, 91, a resident of 71 Warren Ave., died late Saturday evening, March 4, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lewiston on July 27, 1914, the son of Emile and Florida (Simard) Beauparlant. He attended Lewiston schools and was a 1933 graduate of Lewiston High School.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and married the former Helen Lynch on July 17, 1944.

Following the war, he began his career as a theater manager for Maine-New Hampshire Theaters for 25 years, and then became a sales associate for Lewiston Plumbing and Hardware retiring in 1980.

His was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, a life member of the Lewiston Elks Club, and having been an avid golfer, was a charter member of Fairlawn Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife, Helen of Lewiston; three sons, Norman Beauparlant and his wife, Barbara, of Poland, Richard Beauparlant and his wife, Sylvia, of Sabattus, and Michael Beauparlant and his wife, Georgann, of Durango, Colo.; one daughter, Mary Lowell and her husband, John, of Buckfield; six grandchildren, Douglas Beauparlant and wife, Renee, of Wales, Lori Lachance of Lisbon, Kevin Beauparlant and wife, Kelly, of Leavittown, Pa., Joy Beauparlant of North Andover, Mass., Brian Beauparlant of Lewiston, and Matthew Lowell of Buckfield; four great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle Beauparlant of Wales, Jordan Beauparlant and Alexa Lachance of Lisbon, and Jake Beauparlant of Leavittown, Pa.
