TORONTO (AP) – Morris Peterson had 27 points and Chris Bosh added 24 as the Toronto Raptors ended a six-game losing streak with 111-105 victory over the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.

Mikes James scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter for the Raptors, who hadn’t won since Feb 13.

Boston’s Paul Pierce had 33 points – the fifth game in a row and 11th in 12 games he has reached the 30-point mark.

The Celtics have won seven of their last eight over the Raptors, but Peterson played great in the first three quarters, Bosh had his usual steady game and James came through in the clutch. Matt Bonner also gave Toronto a spark with five 3-pointers for 15 points.

Al Jefferson’s 3-pointer cut Toronto’s lead to four with 6 minutes left, but Toronto followed with a 12-2 run.

James’ jumper and 3-poitner gave the Raptors a 13-point lead with 2:44 left – their biggest lead of the game.

But the Raptors, who twice blew a 10-point lead in Saturday’s loss to New Jersey, allowed Boston back into the game.

Pierce capped a 12-3 run by converting a 3-point play, cutting the lead to four with 1:02 left.

But James made six of eight free throws in the final minute, and Charlie Villanueva grabbed a key offensive rebound with 20 seconds left.

James made one of two free throws with 20 seconds left to give Toronto a 108-102 lead.

Pierce followed with a 3-point miss and James made two more free throws with 14 seconds left to seal the victory.

Bonner made three straight 3-pointers to give the Raptors a nine-point lead early in the second quarter – their biggest lead of the half.

Notes: F Antonio Davis (sprained back) sat out for Toronto … Bosh was selected for by USA Basketball for a possible spot on USA basketball’s world championship and 2008 Beijing Olympic teams. The third-year forward made his first All-Star team this year, but said the making Team USA means more. “To be a part of the world’s elite instead of the just league’s elite is a little more special,” Bosh said. … Peterson came within one point of a season-high. … Villanueva had 18 points.
